Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitia pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan buku saku digital yang dinyatakan valid dan layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar serta mendapatkan respon yang menarik dari peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pesatnya perkembangan teknologi digital serta rendahnya pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan atau Reasearch and Development (R&D) dimana peneliti mengembangkan buku saku digital berbasis android bercirikan etnomatematika. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembngan 4D dari Thiagajaran yang terdiri atas 4 langkah yaitu define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan), dan disseminate (penyebaran). Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII MTs Nurul Ulum Purajaya, Kec. Kebun Tebu, Kab. Lampung Barat. Intrumen penelitian pada penelitian pengembangan ini yaitu wawancara, angket validator ahli materi dan ahli media, angket respon uji coba kemenarikan peserta didik, dan soal tes. Hasil validasi ahli materi diperoleh skor 3,68 dengan kriteria “layak”, hasil validasi ahli media diperoleh skor 3,75 dengan kriteria “layak”, hasil uji coba kemenarikan peserta didik kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar diperoleh skor berturut-turut 3,7 dan 3,79 dengan kriteria “sangat menarik”. Sementara itu, uji efektifitas produk pada buku saku ini tidak dapat terlaksana dikarenakan adanya pandemi Covid-19 yang melanda seluruh penjuru dunia, sehingga uji coba buku saku ini hanya sampai pada uji coba kemenarikan produk. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli dan uji kemenarikan peserta didik di atas diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa buku saku digital berbasis android bercirikan etnomatematika dinyatakan valid dan layak digunakan sebagai salah satu bahan ajar yang dapat digunakan oleh peserta didik. This research is motivated by the rapid development of digital technology and the low use of digital technology in the learning process. This research is a research and development (R&D) where the researcher develops an android-based digital pocket book characterized by ethnomatics. This development research uses a 4D development model from Thiagajar which consists of 4 steps, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The subjects of this study were students of class VII MTs Nurul Ulum Purajaya, Purajaya, West Lampung. The research instruments in this development research are interviews, validator questionnaires for material experts and media experts, questionnaire responses to student attractiveness trials, and test questions. The results of the validation of the material expert obtained a score of 3.68 with the criteria "feasible", the results of the validation of the media expert obtained a score of 3.75 with the criteria "feasible", the results of the test results of the attractiveness of small group and large group students obtained a consecutive score of 3.7 and 3.79 with “very attractive” criteria. Meanwhile, testing the effectiveness of the product in this pocket book could not be carried out due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit all corners of the world, so this pocket book trial only reaches the product attractiveness trial. Based on the results of expert validation and the student attractiveness test above, it was concluded that the Android-based digital pocket book characterized by ethno-mathematics was declared valid and suitable for use as one of the teaching materials that could be used by students.
